Developments in Bagasse Fibre Processing

Abstract
On May 3 - 4, 2007, the Sugar Research and Innovation Centre of the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Brisbane, Australia, held a symposium and workshop on "Developments in pulp and paper manufacture from sugarcane bagasse" at which Mr. Hurter was one of the key presenters. The symposium and workshop was attended by representatives from sugarcane growers, sugar companies, pulp and paper companies and academia.
Mr. Hurter's presentation "Developments in Bagasse Fibre Processing" discusses four new advances relating too the manufacture of bagasse pulps that could make them more economical for papermaking.
