Eng., President, HurterConsult Incorporated</div> <bR> <div> Presented at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Brisbane, Australia, Bagasse Symposium & Workshop - May 3-4, 2007.</div> <bR> <bR> <div> <B>Abstract</B></div> <div> On May 3 - 4, 2007, the Sugar Research and Innovation Centre of the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Brisbane, Australia, held a symposium and workshop on "<B>Developments in pulp and paper manufacture from sugarcane bagasse</B>" at which Mr. Hurter was one of the key presenters. The symposium and workshop was attended by representatives from sugarcane growers, sugar companies, pulp and paper companies and academia.</div> <bR> <div> Mr. Hurter's presentation "Bagasse Fibre Processing Overview" provides a general overview of the bagasse pulping process including moist depithing, long term wet bulk storage, wet depithing, cooking and brownstock washing and bleaching.
